The World

I am surrounded by it, and enclosed by it. We are affected by it every day for the good or for bad. This has changed over time. This is the thing that we call the world. I am not thinking about the physical world but about the culture and the society. How does this shape our lives? Many times society will tell you that certain actions, ideas, cloths, life styles, and other things are ok when if in fact they are not. They tell you certain things are ok when if in fact they go completely against the Christian faith. The sad thing is that many people buy into the lie. We think that we need more stuff, a bigger house, name brand cloths, and other wordily possessions to continue to be happy. If you are a Christian you already found happiness in Christ; Not only did you find happiness but you found lasting happiness. The only way that you can lose that happiness is if you separate yourself from our creator. Think about it. What are you counting on to make you happy?

The People You See Everyday

You see people every day. People that you know and those that you don’t. They are all the same though, all having the same choices to make. And they will all face the same day as well, judgment day. Every person young and old and in between will have to stand in front of our creator and be responsible with what they did in their life. So what are you going to do about it? Are you going to sit back and relax throughout your life or are you going to take a stand. You see people every day that are going to heaven and you see people every day that are going to hell. Let’s face it because it’s reality. You see the people that sit alone in the lunch room and you see the people in the brake room as well. Dose it ever hit you that these people are going to hell? And so what if it does, does it move you in a way that makes you want to make a difference? I really want you to step up and take this challenge to make a difference wherever God puts you. God can use you no matter where you are or what your situation. Now the question becomes are you going to obey him? Are you going to reach out to these people that he has called you to minister to? It’s the life God has given you. How are you going to use it?

Time

Do you know when your life is going to end? Do you know what tomorrow or your next breathe will bring? Of course not, no one does. But why do people continue to live life like they are for sure going to get up and go about their lives like any other day. I am no exception. You don’t know if you are going to get tomorrow because God has a perfect timing to take you out of this world and he will do it when that comes whether you are ready or not. Now I don’t want to depress you about dying but I feel like too many people look over it and try to avoid it. Society avoids it and labels it as something forbidden to talk about. You have no idea what tomorrow will bring so you need to live every day as if it is your last, all for the glory of God. I know that it is hard not to keep thinking ahead but we need to let God do that. Let him take care of the future because his plan for us is perfect. So maybe tomorrow instead of dreading the day of school, or work, or thinking about what you are going to do you get up and praise our awesome God with your first thought. It is not something that is not going to be very easy to do but if you work at it you will see a difference in the way that you morning goes. Praise him for the day, and his creation and just everything that he has done in your life. Realize that he loves you and wants the best for you but he also wants you to live for him, unashamed. You never know when God is going to take you off this earth so live every day for him. So the question for you is how are you living your life every day for Christ? If you’re not, what areas could you improve? The last question which is the toughest, If God took you off this earth on this day would you have any regrets or things that you would want to change? If so, the time is never better. Spend some time with our God right now and be honest and open with him.

What It Means to Be Loved by Mark Schultz

God's Creation

God’s creation; his beautiful and perfect creation. A garden with animals living in harmony and everything exactly how it should be, until the fall. The fall did not mean that God’s creation was ruined and no longer perfect. It meant that us as humans were no longer enabled to live in full harmony with God. There was separation between us and God. Yes, after that animals began to be killed as food for other animals and as clothing for us humans but God still was a perfect creator as he created each animal perfectly. Maybe you have not look at God’s creation in a while. Maybe you have been a little bit too busy to stop and look but I challenge you before you do anything else to stop and take a moment and just be in awe of our Father’s creation. Just take it in slowly and praise the God that made it all and the God that has made you. You are a masterpiece created by God for God. You are perfect the way you are because God created you. I know a lot of times kids and adults look in the mirror and wish that they had something changed about their body or hair or you name it. What are you telling God? That you are not perfect? That he messed up when he created you? God created you the way that you are to be who you are so that you can bring glory and honor to him. He created you with a specific plan in mind and a purpose, not because he was bored some day and needed something to do. You are his perfect creation and you can do nothing to mess that up. So I pray that you will take the time right now just to thank God for making his wonderful creation and also for making you perfect. The next time you like in the mirror think to yourself, “I am God’s masterpiece, created perfectly.”

How Our Time is Spent Each Day

Have you ever felt like you just wasted time in your day? Maybe you woke up late and then just laid around and did nothing and then before you knew it it was time for bed. I know that I sometimes have days like that. Sometimes those days are nice and relaxing but most of the time it feels like it was just a waste; like you could have done so much more. Sometimes we forget why we are here and why we live each and everyday. Why we sometimes forget why we get up in the morning. It's not because the alarm clock happened to go off and we got up and left and went to work or school or wherever, but its because God gave us the day as a gift to please and glorify him. I struggle with this at times to but I really have been challenged lately. Instead off thinking to yourself when the alarm clock goes off about the dreaded school or work day just to think about our creator and how he gave you the opportunity to get up and live the day. It's tough to do but if you strive to change your outlook you may find yourself having better, and more eventful days. So if you find yourself dreading the next day and wasting time thinking about what you have to do and when you have to do it, just take a  second and thank the God who gave you that day to live and then go out and live it all for his glory.
